BLIND to BLUE – Page 11

I got a little carried away with the moon.

How do you feel about flying? Tell me in the comments, or pass me a note in Earth Science. Mr. Perry doesn’t care.

  1. Jimmy Page & Robert Plant over the decades have acknowledged the great Mississippi Blues Artists such as Blind Willie Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon, others that have helped (intentionally or otherwise) make them the success they are.

They reworked many of those artist’s classics into true living breathing tributes instead of trying to “cash in” on other’s songs. The cash was a byproduct. Their reworks are so genuinely different from the originals. How many borrowed riffs, lyrics, etc., have you heard other black blues artists lift from each other? C’mon now, let’s be fair.

Let’s not forget Jimmy’s & Robert’s last CD, ‘Walking Into Clarksdale’…think that was a tribute title? lol
